Busoga School

The Giving Circle is stepping in to help one of Uganda's poorest schools: Busoga. This will now be a Giving Circle School.  We will be rebuilding the rooms you see in the pictures as well.

So, this is Moses telling the head master/mistress and children we are building a play ground there!

Ah ha! Fruit Trees@ Kagoma Gate!

The planting of fruit trees at Kagoma gate community is done! On the 27th they were planted and it was a wonderful event as it involved almost everybody in the community. It was later blessed with a heavy down pour, and more to follow since the rain season is on.

This will help sustain Kagoma Gate forever now with wonderful fruit to eat!

Party with a PURPOSE!

Last April, the  response to a dinner that Hope Neikirk and Caren Baker sponsored gave birth to "The Midwife Project." The funds raised that night, along with donations from people who were not able to attend the dinner, exceeded our goal. We made the monies needed to hire Elizabeth Arikoba for a full year. We also purchased a scooter  (boda boda) that allows her to expand  her care to many more people in and around  the villages of Wairaka and Kagoma Gate.  Because of you, the participants in the Midwife Project, Elizabeth is presently delivering  desperately needed  health care to the women and babies of the these villages.

Hope and Caren held another dinner in November which also exceeded their expectations.  Caren opened her beautiful home once again to cater this wonderful dinner (3 courses with wine and dessert bar)! This will be an annual event to serve the health and birthing needs of the women and babies of the Uganda villages of Kagoma Gate and Wairaka.

Here is a video and pictures for your enjoyment!
